I'm lucky that I can choose between the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. I prefer the German companies ie Germanwings Or Air Belgium. But sometimes Ryanair is much cheaper and I accept their sometimes silly behaviour. They get you everywhere you want in time. Just pay attention when you book and check the weight of your luggage. I have bought a special lightweight suitcase (2.1 kg) for RA.

@schoie2004 There's a lot of budget airlines that has 737NG, for example EasyJet, Norwegian, Southwest and many more. Southwest is btw a huge operator of 737 and especially NG.
