I was daydreaming about what the concert would be like and how much fun wed have when the bell rang, jolting me out of my daydream. I looked around and everyone was already up and heading for the door so I hurried to get my stuff together. I was almost out of the door when the teacher called me over to her desk.
`~Samantha. Youve been late an awful lot this week~ I inwardly groaned; Great, today was going so perfectly! But teachers always have a need to ruin goo days.
~Umm. Yes, maam. Im sorry. Ill be here after school.~ I started towards the door.
~Wait just a minute! Do you have a reasonable reason for being late, Miss Andrews?~ I stopped and turned back towards the teacher, ~ Um well Ive had to get my brother up and hes a real pain to wake up and then by the time Ive finished with breakfast Ive got to rush and then traff-~ The teacher interrupted me, ~Well, theres no reason to have to come after school. Youre a good student and this is the first few times youve been late so Ill send you off with a warning this time.~ she folded her hands on top of the desk and smiled at me.
~Really?!? I mean- Really.~ She laughed at my excitement. ~Yes, really. But remember- try not to be late in the future.~ she added in a playful but stern voice. I smiled at her, ~Yes, maam.~ She smiled back and I walked to the door and left.
I started towards my locker when Kayla appeared in front of me, ~Did you get detention? Do you have to stay after school? Cause if you dont then we could go shopping; I mean- we NEED amazing clothes for the concert and all. But if you do have to stay I guess we can go another day.~ I laughed, ~Slow down. The teacher said shed let me go with a warning. So we can go shopping today. But I dont have a lot of money to spend. Im still gonna save. I want to pay Carter back. Were not THAT nice to him or anything, gosh.~
~Oh thats awesome. And you never got to tell me why Carter gave us the tickets.~ We already had our stuff from our lockers and were on our way to the classrooms by then. ~ He said he just wanted to thank us for being his friends when he was new here and all. Plus, he knew we always wanted to go to a JB concert.~ We walked into the classroom and took our seats in the far back corner so it would be less noticeable that we were talking.
~Thats sweet of him. But I do feel guilty I mean weve been working for what; 3 years? And havent earned enough of money and then he goes and buys them. Really messed up, if you ask me.~
~Yeah. He told me not to pay him back or anything. But I will. I dont care what he says; Im gonna give him at LEAST half of the amount he paid for the tickets.~ Kayla nodded, ~So well go shopping and whatever is left keep one forth of it and give the rest to Carter.~ she started giggling. ~I mean- We still need money.~
~Uh yeah- Its not that funny.~ She started giggling louder. ~Okay. You need to CALM DOWN!~ She tried to speak but couldnt because she was laughing too hard. Before long I was laughing too because it was contagious. I have no idea why we were laughing though. But when the teacher walked in we quieted down and tried to focus. But I somehow ended up wondering what Nick was doing at this exact moment
I posted! Yay! Its not that great but Im just excited to be on the computer lol. Not a cliffhanger at all, either. Oh, well. But have you ever just randomly started laughing uncontrollably? Or is it just me??? I do that a lot Mini spaz attacks lol. Well, I better get off of the computer before my mom wakes up and catches me. I dont want to get in even MORE trouble.
