@MaxxRedSox Very well said. It is a great rivalry and both teams bring out the best in each other. Both teams are great for baseball. Although I did not like the outcome on the baseball diamond, I did enjoy the movie Fever Pitch and I tipped my hat to the Red Sox in 2004. Most teams would have folded and quit but they did not. As a Yankee fan I knew the Yankees were in trouble when Roberts stole second and scored. Gutsy call and I respect that. The Red Sox earned peoples respect.

@sfgnyy Lets agree on this one thing both the Red Sox and Yankees are very good teams and another ALCS would be fun to watch regardless of who wins. I don't know what it is but there is something a little extra exciting when both teams play each other. Like I said I love baseball as a whole but I am routing for my Sox seeing that I was born and raised in Boston. But I do respect the Yankees. I'm not one of those Sox fans that say the Yankees Suck because that is not true and I know it.

@MaxxRedSox  It is a great rivalry and I think that the Yankees bring out the best in the Red Sox. Both teams have solid histories coupled with disappointments and successes. 2004 was your year and the Red Sox did overcome an obstacle to beat the Yankees. I will add that on opening day 2005 the Yankees showed great class and sportsmanship during the Red Sox ring ceremony. In 2001, the Red Sox showed great class with 911. Fair is fair and I acknowledge that.

@sfgnyy And I can respect that. I just love baseball period it is a very interesting game. Seeing all of those years that you feel proud of shows me that you know that the Red Sox are somehow a challenge to the Yankees because an "accomplishment" is overcoming an obstacle and carrying and achievement into affect.

@MaxxRedSox I love the Yankees and I have seen great moments like 1978 (Bucky Dent) 1999 (Yankees beat Red Sox in ALCS and 2003 (Aaron Boone) In my lifetime the Yankees have won 7 World Championships and 11 American League Pennants. You cannot win them all but I am happy with what they have accomplished. Very few teams if any have accomplished what the Yankees have done.

@sfgnyy It doesn't really bother me that the Red Sox didn't make the playoffs. I am a loyal fan and I enjoy simply just watching a game because I enjoy baseball period. I would lve to see the Red Sox win another world series because its fun to see them win. But I'm not going to think it's the end of the world because they don't make the playoffs. The Red Sox are a good baseball team and its fun to watch them play especially when they go 7-2 in New York with 2 sweeps of the Yankees.

I loved hearing you Yankees fans groan in the stands as you watched A-fraud strike out. That was priceless. LOL! I think I want to have that as a ring tone. The groaning Yankees fans.

@MaxxRedSox By the way in 2000 the year the Yankee Dynasty won a three peat, won its 26th title, and became the team of the century Yankee Nation demolished Dead Sox Nation 22-1 in July 2000. Need I GO ON?
