DJ PREMIER IS ONE OF THE GREATEST EVER PRODUCER, AND JERU IS ONE OF THE GREATEST MC... TRUE HIP HOP, NOT THE SHIT OF THESE DAYS!

@kaoshacker235 Jeru the Damaja is not underground, he's oldschool. Back when he debuted he was actually well known. He isnt changing for shit though, that's what's great about him.

@backinthadayz I completely agree 100%, good feedback.

What you talking, lyrical talent, longevity story-telling or just in general?
Because I agree he wasn't lyrically superior, but his story-telling and lyrical guidance was powerful (Code of the Streets etc).
I mean c'mon man you can't deny his rhymes were pretty effective, precise and direct, not to mention positive.
I mean the art of positive rhymin' is almost dead, to the extent it reaches the masses I mean, Guru kept it alive or helped keep the door open a little at least.

@bongzynskywycz is he gonna be making a new album ?

@bongzynskywycz Just go listen to Who's the man--Jeru and Dap both sound way better on it, just like almost every rapper on Preem's tracks sound beter than he does. Guru gets props for helping originate underground a certain sound but without Preem he ain't nothin and you know it. He's was a very ordinary rapper, good voice. Stop saying what you think you should say to prove you're into hip hop and actually listen to it.
RZA>preemo

@Charlie47912 Ah come on now... To me it's impossible to have a top 5 (for example) list of greatest producers. RZA differs too much from Premo production wise. Pete Rock has also a much different style of sound. Same with DJ Spinna, Marley Marl, Large Pro, Buckwild etc... they all sound different. They're all number 1 to me. Just pure geniuses of the hip hop genre.
