Built less than 2,000 miles ago, this 1983 Pontiac Firebird features: '91 Formula front and rear, '99 Grand Prix door handles, 4th Generation rear wing, Harwood 3" Cowl Hood, 91-92 GTA tail lights, Painted in Corvette Admiral Blue. The powertrain: 383 CID Four bolt bored .030 over with 400 Crank. TRW forged pistons, Dart II heads(ported) Scorpion roller rockers, Victor Jr. Intake, Holley 750 Double Pumper, Comp Cam, Hooker Super Comp long tube headers, MSD billet distributor, 6A ignition & coil, Tilton starter, ATI balancer, Griffin radiator, Spal dual electric fans, Nitrous Express Gemini Twin plate system, w/ remote opener, bottle heater and purge kit, (Nitrous has never been used.) 3" exhaust with flowmaster H-pipe and Moroso Spiralflow mufflers help this car breathe easy. The transmission is a TH350 w/ 2800 stall converter and a TransGo shift kit. Strange Engineering driveshaft, with driveshaft loop. The rearend features a Moser 9 inch with 31 spline axles. Centersection is a Nodular case with Detroit Locker 3.70 gears. SSm subframe connectors, Spohn lower control arm relocators, Spohn tubular rear control arms, Hotchkis adjustable panhard bar, Koni shocks, Eibach Pro-Kit springs. The front suspension features PST Polygraphite front end kit, IROC swaybar, IROC "Wonderbar" brace, IROC quick-ratio steering box, Corvette C4 front brakes, 13" rotors, '97 Trans Am 12" PBR disc brakes, Boze ZE Forged "Mesh" 17" wheels. New headliner, carpet, dashpad, and modified console w/cupholder, Auto Meter Phantom Gauges w/ 5" Tach. 89-92 style backseat, Kenwoood Am/Fm/Cd, with Infinity speakers. @roquefortfiles 80 and 81 still hade the same body style and in the second generation. Turbo Trans Am was introduced in 80, although they had smaller engine sizes their almost completely indifferent from the 79. I prefer the second Gens. also but the bodies were greatly applauded when they came out. I also hate all the Kitt's... David Hasselhoff can suck a black one.

Meh!! to me these cars stopped being "Classic" at the 79 model. After that they just became "KIT". Got in to the plastic-ey fake looking metal. Not a classic look. The designs started to become bad. Trying too hard to move it to a "futuristic" design. Never been a fan of anything past 79. And even that i didn't like too much.

But that's just me.
