PLEASE WATCH IN 720P!!!!
A short film I made with the Canon T2i/550D using Magic Lantern -16 Qscale. Shot mostly in one night and written in a week. Zero budget! Color graded and editing to look like a film from the 70's/early 80's.

Settings used:
John Hope's Cinema Picture Style (the best PS ever!)
Magic Lantern -16 Qscale
Outdoor White Balance 6300K
Indoor White Balance 4400K
24fps 1920/1080P
Outdoor ISO 100
Indoor ISO 800 and 1600

Gear used:
Canon T2i
Canon 50mm 1.4
Canon 55mm-250mm
Tokina 11-16mm 2.8
Konova Slider 32"
Desk lamp w/ goose neck and a reflector (for extra lighting)
Zoom H2n and T2i mic (for audio)
Manfrotto tripod and fluid head

  • what kind of sd card are you using?

  • @OfficialCrestonAve I used the Transcend 16GB Class 10. Not gonna lie though it was rather hard to shoot with the -16 Qscale. Sometimes it took like 10 tries just to get it to keep recording. Shooting under controlled conditions like this film I did it was ok, but trying to get shots on the fly can really be a problem since it stops recording every second.

  • if your QSCALE fails to record as you said it took you some time to get the right shot as it failed to record are you able to delete magic lantern of your camera and record with default settings before you had magic lantern on?

  • @S73w1th Man this looked really good! Very stylish. I watched some of it in 240p for that extra fuzzy 70s effect! by the way is there any way around that qscale problem?

  • Good job i like it! go ahead!!

  • Awesome adaptation of the 70's style cinema. Great color correcting!

  • Awesome job! The color grading as well as the shot selection was perfect for that late 70's early 80's slasher film era!

  • good i like
