Hey fellas!
Welcome to the Gentlemens Bass Club and our 5th lesson! This time I'm gonna show you how I play "Manic Depression" from Jimi Hendrix.
In order to play this song, you will need to tune all the strings one half step down. (Gb/Db/Ab/Eb).

@GentlemensBassClub I just wanted to ask: How do you get that particular bass sound? I play a Fender Jazz Bass through an Acoustic 450.

Are the tabs wrong on the very first part of the verse? It says open Ab, then frets 4 and 7 on Db. Your playing Open, then frets 4, and 7 all on Ab. Had me confused for a second.

Hi David, love the videos. I was wondering though, do you like Avenged Sevenfold? If you do I would love to see you doing some covers and some of the fills that Johnny does. Just suggesting them because the bass lines are so amazing (and I LOVE THEM!!!)

I can answer that one, Avenged Sevenfold is not his "cup of tea", so your best chance of getting any Avenged Sevenfold stuff is from me, but I've sorta stopped listening to them, I did make a lesson for Afterlife though! So feel free to check that one out!
