@shaurz No it doesn't. They're very close, but there are some subtle differences. The power-up sound effect does sound identical to the one used in Contra Force/Arc Hound, however. Which makes sense, given that both Crisis Force and Contra force were both Konami Games (Gremlins 2 was made by Sunsoft)

The power-up sound-effect sounds exactly the same as the one in Gremlins 2.

The VRC2 chip was used to impove tje graphics.This can only be used in the Famicom.
I believe the merging concept came out of the Twinbee games
