Damn shame he got injured prior to the '80 Olympia. He said he was poised to come in heavier than ever before (in the 190's) and was in the best shape of his life. He could've ruled the roost for another 3 years at least if he'd stayed healthy and kept improving.

@Paupla 29" inch waist line, 18 inch biceps, crazy vacuumed stomach, great legs..damn!

Actually a good looking bodybuilder... he would win any competition over those freaks Coleman and Cutler in my book. But the pro bodybuilding has rapidly gone downstream...

Frank Zane achieved the perfect form of the male physique.

Looking at this video brings back memories, Frank Zane was the man back then. A throw back from the yester years of bodybuilding, aesthetics, symmetry and portportion along with masterful posing that appealed to the common man. Unlike what you see today. It's a shame to see where bodybuilding is today.

This is what grew the sport. Arnold, Franco and Zane. They look extremely healthy and "pleasing" to the eye. Tom Platz started to tear down what they built....They modern look of "bloated" bellies and Platz legs so big they cant walk correctly..(to me at least) doesn't come off healthy or "pleasing" to the eye...I miss Boyer, the Metzers et al
Perfect, the best body ever, not that today's monsters!
