This video shows how a candle burns to its end approximately 1000 times faster than it usually does. The clock confirms that: more than 11.5 hours passes in 40 seconds. Each second of this video corresponds about 16.5 minutes real time. The burning time of the candle seems to be about 7 hours 45 minutes.

I made this video with a webcam set to record only 1 frame per second. After a little video processing task, the result was this. Have fun until my next project of this kind which would be melting a large ice cube at high speed ;-)
