For anyone who was wondering, that piece of classical music playing is called Candide Overture. Composed and conducted by Leonard Bernstein.

"...in my pot garden???"
now i know what that means, but in my mind james may grows his own pot at home. and now sweet peas as well.

@stalkek Yeah, seemed like a real dick move to ask James about how other gardeners have put all this effort in to their garden as opposed to James'. Almost wished James had said that the people that helped him work on it would be interested to hear that.

They should have had Joe do the interview. Alan T came across a bit of a tight nob.

James May is *so* clever and duly deserving of the '''People's Choice" award - absolutely brilliant - wish I had seen the full esisodde on TV! Good work Captn Slow :)

In the episode on James' show, it seemed he annoyed some snobby people, I enjoyed that alot

It's not about the winning anyway, it's about the taking part, and well done to all those small gardens that took part. I'm sure they'd all agree that it was a 'people's' project and with that, given the people that wouldn't normally be aware of 'toys' and of 'gardens', it's a winner :) I thank you.

I love James May too!wish I could have been in Miss Lumleys shoes!Hated the snobbery that he had to put up with and so glad he go the Peoples Choice award for small gardens.
Thanks for this.
I love when he was presented with the medal. James is brilliant and his idea behind the whole thing is excellent and well thought and I believe that the RHS took that into consideration. Kudos to them. He really got some stick. I don't think some of those people realised the reason behind it all, nor the work that went into the project. It wasn't an overnight thing and James certainly couldn't have done it on it's own.
James does cocky very well.
Oh Alan, lighten up.
