  • It is called Karak in the Arab world. I do it is by mixing ginger powder, ground cardamom, sugar, and a tea bag with a milk in a special coffee pot "Kanakah"

then I boil the mixture and strain it into a mug.

you can use loose tea instead.

The main difference is that I don't use water or prepare the tea separately because I don't want to lose the thickness of the milk and the strength of the tea.

I also use an imported version of Lipton Tea (can be found in Arab, Pakistani groceries)

  • For me ... i take pure milk put cardamom to taste + tea (one teaspoon per cup) + sugar and boil it till the color darkens ... enjoy :)

  • Just a variation, which I find easier. Boil some water and while it's boiling, add in a teaspoon or two of sugar. Then, add one whole cardamom seed, two black peppercorns, and a clove. And some black tea. Let this steep for a few. Separately, heat some milk ( I use a ratio of 2:1 or so for the tea and milk). Strain the tea, add the milk. Done. :)

  • @golddigger0325 Thanks

Then I take another casserole and pour in the milk, maybe a little less than a cup. I do this on medium to low heat. Add either vanilla extract or powder(1 teaspoon) and wait til it starts to condense. Then all that's left is to just blend it with the tea and voila, you have a yummy chailatté ;)

  • @TheRobot452 sure :) I rarely mesure it though, but roughly..

First I just pour like a cup of water into a casserole and add all the spices. I use powder, so I take a litte more, about a tablespoon of each. Then when the water starts to boil I put the black teabag in it and let it cook for 5 more minutes. Once it's done I pour it into a tall cup and add either honey or sugar, about 1 tblsppon.

  • @golddigger0325 Could you post the full recipie? Amounts, times, etc. Please :)

  • @gongxia649 Try a mortor and pestle or put them in a bowl and crush with something heavy. (spoon?) Takes a lot of time, but might work. Good Luck.

  • @Anorchous fag

  • can i do it w/o grinding them all together. I dont have a grinder.
