  • Who plays guitar?

  • @ratrod67 - Edgar's mom ;)

  • Aw man now I want a raven! Sadly I think my dog would try to eat it and wind up getting pecked a lot in the process. :( They are such lovely birds, though.

  • @AeriaGl0ris ~ I don't trust my dogs around the ravens. One crunch, and that would be it. But the ravens do like to pull a dogs tail when they see one :u)

  • Being that i'm from Cape Cod, Massachusetts i'm not as privileged to catch "daily glimpses", of these big beauties. Albeit we have some VERY large American Crow's here, pushing 20in easily with about 3ft wingspreads. However, considering Raven's aside from the; Chihuahua or white necked as there formally known, and other African species such as; The African White-neck, Ethiopian Raven, & Thick-Billed.

  • @tomtalker2000 ~ Edgar is an African Pied-Crow/Brown-necked raven hybrid. If you notice, his bill is a little larger than the Common Corax. He is one smart fellow.

  • About the raven dog thing I'm not quite sure but ravens and wolves get along. They are like roommates in nature. They even play and a raven with a wolf pup makes me smile so much. Wolves and ravens. The only soft spot in my heart

  • Nice..cool sounds...like waterdripping. Thank you for shearing...looks like you bouth are enjoying yourselfs there... nice :-)

  • @tomtalker2000 ~ Thank you for the kind words. It really is a special feeling to have one of these wonderful creatures trust you and want to be close to you :)

  • I've been in the avian field for nearly 25yrs now. Most of my knowledge being "self-taught". And the "Corvid" family of birds, has always been among my favorites. I've taught youth birding programs, at my local Audubon chapter. Along with working for my local museum of natural history. This all said, the bond you have with your Crows & particularly Ravens is a sheer blessing.
