Antena 3 from Madeira received 27-6-08 around 5 30 pm local timeon 94.1 fm.

Distance 2507 km.

Reception via sporadic E - Ionised clouds of gas in the atmospheres E layer which reflect VHF signals back to earth. In normal conditions the signal would continue on into outer space.

Receiver used - Sony SB920 Tuner with a 4 element yagi antenna @ 20 feet thru a 20db amp.

  • Great. I listened too this radio station years ago, in "La Mancha" in the center of Spain. It was my first E-Reception I can confirme, because my receiver had RDS.
