I have the following problem: I want to install OpenSuse 11.3 on a netbook, which obviously has no DVD-drive. I downloaded the ISO from the site, used Unetbootin to make it bootable. I do NOT get the install screen. Instead the message "Make sure CD1 is installed". I press esc, and get a screen with several options to install OpenSuse. Network option, DVD/CD-rom option and some other options like upgrade etc.
But I just CAN't get it to install :( Anybody knows how to tackle this problem?
We all know that Phoronix doesn´t worth anything. Maybe they are the only one who test things that other doesn´t test but they do it just very very bad. I bet that some day they do a test about which condensator is first fully loaded and they will have results!
Just install openSUSE 11.3 yourself and install Ubuntu yourself. After this self test and some tests about the speed you can´t say with conscience that SuSE is faster. Some people say its even slower than windows... sad!
at the welcome screen on the cd are the numbers 4,8,15,16,23,42 from LOST!! :D

By the way: I used a 16GB usb stick, that would be no problem at all.

@Cryptox99
A lot of studies showed that Ubuntu is much more easy to use and much much much more faster. Thats why you dont want SuSE
