Yes supports are placed by you, however there is an auto support tool in the program which can be a big help with wooden coasters. That coaster took me just over a week to build.
And no, NoLimits is not like RCT3 - NoLimits is purely about building a coaster, but it is far more realistic but more challenging to use than RCT3

I agree with you there... looking back at this - I think that first drop is rather unrealistic as well - there would be huge stress on the lift chain if it were real. I'll try and do better next time on that one... thanks for the comment.
