You can give the Afghan people food, medicine, etc but as soon as you kill children, bomb their homes, destroy their cities all that good intension went out the window. Only an idiot would believe you win peace with war. I'd like to see how you deal with neighbours/people in general who disagree with you. Do you treat them the same as the people in Afghanistan? What is the pretext to be there? Alqaeda? which is CIA anyway. WMD's well bush lied & even laughs about it.

As a vet of that same war, thank God people are speaking out, this is exactly what I went through.

wow the world economy is definitly benefiting, lets stay in war as long as we can in order to take as much as we can,

America averages in about one war every 20 years since its beginning only 200 yrs ago.

And as for all the soldiers "falliing out" who speak out here but not over there...for pts and politics? no. Its to protect their interests in a conflict of many. They should have picked their careers more wisely. Servinig food to those who are hungry is noble and Ive been doing that for the past 6 yrs in fast food/grociery. I respect those that died and who had a rough few years in combat that may have extended for 20 who stuck it out for a cause worth dying for. They dont complain, just do.

I agree 50% this time the taliban have become a wild animal off its leash. They took to the streets b4 we did and thats why there is fighting in the streets. The way we invaded Iraq left our flanks open and safe routes limited. 3/4 of the way there we changed tactics from conventional to unconventional solely based on the fact that we cannot stop. Why didnt the "land loving" taliban stay away from the civilians? Whydid saddam stick ppl in meatgrinders ft first? They dont protect a damned thing.

@MrTex1987 If you want to do the right thing, dont ever go to someone elses country with heavy firepower. If some other country like Russia or China or anyone came to your homeland with a military machine, you would do everything possible to fight this beast. Its the occupation and invasion that they are fighting. They dont want american soldiers or anyone riding around the streets and busting down they doors, they dont want to be marked like cattle, they dont want shooting in the streets.

There IS light at the end of this tunnel, war/s...If we jump out b4 were there well be retracing our steps for years...Lost. I dont want to think for how long or how many. And im willing to fight along side the right others to make sure we make it out of this one. Some people are saying "To Hell with it" concerning this war...Well I got somethin to say to those ppl. I agree with you 100% But they said they were muslims. The difference is not the religion itts the "war in the name of God"...the majority of problems sten from extremists. Muslim or not if I ever find myself over there making the effort to do the right thing I wont feel bad at all 4 killing those who try to kill me if they were just going to blow themselves up or shoot at my comrades. I feel that way even here in the states...Bush family is a pawn for corporation. But Obamas a pawn for the ppl.
