Amerx began operations in 1993 and manufactures proprietary wound and skin products, including the Amerigel® Skin and Wound Care product line. All manufacturing is done in the United States and complies with rigid GMP requirements. Amerigel® products have been reviewed by the FDA (US Food & Drug Administration) and have individual NDC (National Drug Code) assigned to them. The product line currently consists of:

Amerigel® product formulations harness the natural healing power of the Oak tree. Oakin™, the primary ingredient, has been researched, tested and found to be beneficial to the skin and in the healing process of a variety of wounds. Amerx Health Care continues its research, testing, and development of innovative products. Amerigel® products are available over-the counter and do not require a prescription.

In 2003, Amerigel® products were reviewed by Health Canada and are now available in Canada. Amerx Health Care is currently seeking approval within the European market (EU), as well as other global markets.

AmeriGel® Wound Dressing is a hydrogel indicated for stages I-IV pressure ulcers, venous stasis ulcers, diabetic skin ulcers, 1st and 2nd degree burns, post surgical incisions, cuts and abrasions.
AmeriGel® Hydrogel Saturated Gauze Dressing is a hydrogel impregnated gauze pad indicated for stage I-IV pressure ulcers, venous stasis ulcers, diabetic skin ulcers, 1st and 2nd degree burns, post surgical incisions, cuts and abrasions. Amerigel® Care Lotion protects fragile skin and helps to prevent skin breakdown. It soothes rough, dry, irritated skin.
Amerigel® Saline Wound Wash is ideal for irrigating and cleansing wounds. It can also be used to moisten gauze that covers the wound.
Amerigel® Barrier Lotion is used as a protective moisture barrier for skin conditions resulting from incontinence, periostomal sites, pressure and friction, wound drain sites, and skin folds exposed to excessive moisture. Amerigel® Barrier Lotion is also antimicrobial.
