  • Difficult to say exactly without the vehicle in front of me, but if your having surging at idle, it can be from a bad TB, or possibly vacuum leaks.

  • I have a T5...Is there a similar procedure?

  • @piffdaddy420 T-5 does not have an electronic throttlebody. If you have TPS codes, the sensor is on the side of the TB. Just a simple swap.

  • thank you so much for the video. what would you recommend for lubricating the throttle body gears? thanks again!

  • Sorry for the delay in reply, I did not get an email update. Usually a thin spray based lubricant. I usually use a dry lube spray. Im sure many other types would work just fine as well.

  • is reset and reprogramming Throttle Body mean the same thing?

  • Its a good idea to battery pull to reset the codes when you reset your TB becuse what ever caused it is still active, I got limp home mode from a random misfire and the code was still active and kept tripping the limp home until i battery pulled.

  • So far, so good. After months of fighting with the codes over and over, this may be the cure I needed. Thanks!

  • I have tried to do as your video says but for some reason that cog or whatever does not move. Any suggestions what else, because I am going to try to clean it.

  • Thanks, that's what I needed !

A clean up will be nessessary off case which usually is the root corse.

  • @JustinHiFi agreed. my limp home kicked in because of a known vacuum leak i had. i kept driving on it and made it kick in, so i had to all this to reset the limp home mode. so far so good.

  • Thank you, my friend , one kiss in the mouth from Mexico City

    regards

  • @artstran If it goes back into LHM every time, must replace the throttlebody assembly. Internal failure.
