The commercial must be late '60s.

Falstaff ... now there's a beer I haven't thought of in years.
-
i remember the adults giving us a swig of this beer when we were kids and they were a little drunk

The nastier the beer, the more manly. Bottoms up!

Man sized beer for man sized thirst, grunt. If you think this discriminates against women, you never drank this cheap beer. the women were the lucky ones.

Makes me thirsty. Lots of phallic symbols in the beginning--a man's beer. ya.

The brewery was in St. Louis MO, according to the small white print on the bottom of the screen near the end of that commercial(at 1:00).

This was the brand of beer that went in the "generic beer" brand back in the 80's. They would sell it at the grocery store ... White can & black letters that said "BEER"
There was a brewery in Omaha Ne so it was local. (I'm from a small town in Nebraska) First beer I ever had was a falstaff on the farm while we were shelling corn. I was probably about 12 at the time Yea, you had to do that before they created pickers that shelled the corn off the cob while it picked. It tasted damn good after sweating by shoveling corn in the crib. I can still remembered what it tasted like even today... Over 45 years later..

Everyone knows that man-sized thirst can only be satisfied by man-sized pleasure. Ask PJ Harvey.
