its a great tank, nice setup

Ozkar 1888 iv had this problem it's to do with the heat from the halogens and the the condensation it just flakes off get rid of the halogens and use LEDs and save on elec and the heat and it will cut down on your water evaporation as well
-
Have any of you out there had the same problem as me, the fixture i attach the lights to has a sheet of what looks like foil around the holes you insert the two connection points to, this seems to flake with the heat from the bulbs and the dampness of the water, is anyone else expeirencing this????!!!

you should show the whole setup
-
did you ever find a good replacement for your lights? I'm doing a homebuilt LED fixture on the opening, and then a PC light off to the side , but I'm starting to think raising the lights and getting rid of the hood altogether might be a better idea... becasue of how much light gets blocked by it...

@holyer14 his heater is behind the rocks, you can see it in the first few seconds of the video, its got a red control knob on it

@josephgervasi Why dont you stick to Dream Theater videos than? More your speed, homo

nice setup! I want one

hi marine tanks have heat so where have you put the heater in this tank
-
needs more light :/ the toadstool looks like its trying to find more
nice tank, but i dont about the lights on the side. i've seen all types of light mods always taking away from the appeal of the edge.I used LEDs for a cleaner look and so far have been successful. would love to see an update

I am looking at some LED lights now. There are also some LED replacement bubbles that will fit into the Fluval Halogen Fixture. (MR11 plug) Issue here is that the Color of the replacement bulbs do not exceed 6500k, really need 10000K. I have some inquires out to see if I can have the 10,000K bulbs made custom for the Fluval Edge. For now the PC bulbs on the side seem to work best. I will post a vid of some of the Light Options I have tried so Far.

Great setup, i love the fluval edge, i have and have had it set up for about 2 months now. The only problem ive ever had is the small opening at the top for in-tank maintenance.
Mine is tropical and has an African clawed frog, 4 guppies, 2 dawrf puffers and some Apple snails. The tank works well togeather but maybe one day ill have a shot at a nano reef :D

It has been a lot of fun.
Your right the small opening in the top does make for difficult maintenance and even harder to get the larger pieces of live rock in the tank. Just the other day we were feeding one of the Bubble Tip and I could not get at the krill the anemone dropped. In 4 hrs the tank went septic and we lost the two clown fish and the skunk (cleaner) shrimp. Things have now recovered but we have not replace the items we lost.
