The Putin-Medvedev political force - 01 Mar 08

Russians will vote to choose a successor to Vladimir Putin, the current president.

The country will have more than 96,000 polling stations open across 11 time zones.

Many are certain that Dmitri Medvedev, Putin's handpicked protege, will win the elections.

In turn, Medvedev is promising Putin a position as prime minister if he wins.

Doubts are now raised as to whether any real transfer of power will occur.

Even if I'm not russian I can because I love Russia. Russia has been a light for the world in the past and I'm confident that in the near furure Russia will again be that light and I think that Putin is the right leader for that. But for that he must work for the people, not for the capitalists. No one can serve two masters.

Imagime all the good that a great man like Putin could have done for Russians as a socialist leader instead of beeing a capitalist leader who works to get riccher a small minority of capitalist pigs. But I do agree that he is a great leader, I just question for whom he is.

are you russian? if not stop caring. because i am russian, and i go to russia every summer to visit my relatives, and they are doing just fine, my grandparents live in an apartment and my uncle, aunt cousins, all live in an apartment. they have very little problems with what you are talking about. they are for sure not rich, but they love putin. dont speak for the russian people if your not russian, thats our job.

He is defenitly very intelligent indeed, but what precisely has he done so good for the Russian people ? my sources, who are among the odinary people, tell me that the situation of the ordinary people is agraving. They are poorer tahn ever, they see their appartement sell from the state to private exploiters and the amount they have to pay for their appartement each month gratly increase since their appartments is in the hand of rich people who want to get riccher by exploiting people.
