Pak Lah: Festivities to go on ...

Umno president and prime minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, revealed decisions taken at the Umno supreme council meeting last night. Amongst the decisions taken:

1. The Arau branch AGM will be postponed until after the Sanglang by-election. The Sanglang state seat was left vacant when the Election court in Kangar declared Umno's win invalid recently.
2. Festivities during the month of Ramadhan and Hari Raya Aidilfithri will be allowed as the Umno AGM will happen during this period.
3. Applications for membership of the party will be made available online and payment can be made via SMS.
