@Humanity0destroyer what environment do you have?

@linuxrealpower i686 xfce/kde ... I'm trying to get things done on arch (proxy/automounting/printer/scanner..), but it turns out that I'm a worthless noob on Linux >_>!

@Humanity0destroyer in KDE it should work right "out of the box" - try posting on their, or Arch Linux forum. regarding Xfce and automounting, you've probably forgotten to launch ConsoleKit in .xinitrc - (exec ck-launch-session startxfce4) or to run dbus.. printer/scanner should be solved by installing its drivers, and cups-usblp from the AUR if the default cups doesn't work. Xfce seems to have no support for proxy, but there are a few tips in the documentation or use just your browser's proxy..
