This is many many VAIO laptop problem. With same issue I sent it to repair, cos under warranty. After 3 month it happen again. They don't tell any solution by phone and send me prepaid box. After they fix it this issue happen less then month later, but warranty was expired. They offer $279 bucks for next repair service ... No comments. That was Vaio Y-series...

When you're charging you VAIO, is there a red LED in the front
that goes off when the battery is full charged?

Thats the same VAIO I have :D, works like a charm.

That looks like a connection problem in the charge prong slot, simplest way is to strip the machine and solder on a new charge slot

Hey guys! After the second time i sent the Vaio they changed me the mainboard and now it works just fine..It`s so nice to just push the button ant power on :) I think it was some bad luck for me coz there are a lot a people who bought a Vaio and they dint have a problem and there are others..just like me :(
