  • @daughterofRMS I'm so glad my mother and stepfather were that successful!! I would have married a foreign a**hole if they hadn't stepped in! Now I'm happily married (most of the time) to a sweet guy who makes me feel like the world most of the time! <3

  • this song has nothing to do with a man trying to talk to a woman, it has a hidden message which is to sinister to reveal

  • so many emotion in this song, i love it

  • Many, many cents! many tears! This is superb! Tks

  • i have not got forty cents!!!

  • I am Now Home ! Thanks For Up Loading Marcio!

  • Cool hippies. Ya gotta love the feel of this band. Thanks

  • just found out today, my kids have never heard this song before, ... i blame meself !!!

  • BEWARE; THIS SONG IS ADDICTIVE!

Many of us old hippies had wierdly similar heartbreaking experiences during our early romantic parades in life, phone call et al. We've somehow moved on, but Shel carved it into musical history forever.

Denis' voice is actually emotionally perfect for the role, and in his performances in years to come, we could actually see on his face that the words were more than just somebody elses.

Thanks for the honor of holding it in memory for a lifetime!

  • Vocalist is Dennis Locorriere, who now lives and performs as a solo in the U.K. Still has that great voice, which I think is the best blues voice on the planet. Ray Sawyer (with the eye patc harmonized. It is delightful that we have these You Tube videos to see our old favorites. Thanks for posting. The video is especially good, showing the original band members.
