I want to start getting into gear review for those of you in the market. To start it off, here is my opinion on the KBC VR-2R helmet.

  • My girlfriend was of the same mind as you when she was choosing her helmet, she wanted girly, but not pink... unfortunately the girliest designs that she liked were always on a pink helmet.

  • @OoxTruExoO With the increasing number of women riders, manufacturers are getting better about designing not so bubblegum pink versions of helmets for girls. Mainly Shoei, IMO. When they came out with a Flutter helmet that wasn't pink or baby blue, I jumped on that QUICK! I was shocked. But you don't buy a helmet because of the design; it's about safety and comfort; not how cute or cool you look :) Maybe some day soon we can have both :)

  • Hey, I rode my bud's fzr600 the past week and half cause my ninja is out of service at the moment. he borrowed me his Shoei lid as well, Maybe its just that one in general but the aerodynamics on it sucked! anything above 70 and it was wobbling like crazy, then get up in the triple digits and it got worse, did you experience that with your shoei? i later tried an icon and it was smooth as butter up to 120

  • @YoshiMan246 No reason the Shoei would do that. Sounds to me like it was too big for your head... So my question is if it was already "wobbling like crazy" at 70, why you would increase into 100+?

  • @OkiHondaGirl Well, was on a spirited hill country ride and had to keep up with the group,

but you may be right, that could of been the cause, as it was definitely not as snug as my helmet.

  • @YoshiMan246 Please don't ever feel you have "to keep up with the group"... I'm sure your friends love you as much as my friends love me, and would rather wait for you to catch up, than to wait for a tow and ambulance...

  • i also love the graphic on that helmet too!

  • omg ur beautiful lol other then that i liked the reveiw and looking forward to get that exact helmet as my first helmet couldnt find much reveiws on them i think u did a great job.....does kbc also have a race ready visor?

  • Shocking

  • nice review..just wanted to make a suggestion, u might wanna cover the inside of the helmet too.How comfortable it is,wind noise, etc. Also wanted to know if the WHOLE liner inside removable or just the cheek pad?wanted to get a kbc vr-2r but just wanted to get more info. Thanks for your great review.

  • Just want to agree with what OKI girl (sorry, don't know your real name) says.

NEVER try to keep up with the group. Ride at your own pace, otherwise its only a matter of time before you end up running wide because your trying too hard to keep up.

    Lovin the work. Andy.

  • I saw Brian at the beginning! He's NEVER on YouTube I'll have to link him

  • @OkiHondaGirl You are right, it was my first time riding with them, but after that they told me to ride my own pace and that they wait for all riders at every major stop, so the group stays together, They are a lot quicker then me. not even going to lie ahaha. - Any who, thanks for your perspective!
