I  agree tyt movie reviews are a good addition to the show..

These critics are cluless. Gyllenhaal falling for Bad Blake is totally believable. Plenty of women out there who fall for "bad boys" - be they alcoholics, drug addicts, abusive, whatever - and if he's a talented musician, the women fall harder. Many women who come from dysfunctional backgrounds seek out unstable men and are irresistibly attracted to them, even if he's 20, 30 years older.

The Wrestler was much harder and brutal.

Crazy Heart is much more tender.

I give these critics 2.6/10

Great performances. Mediocre movie.

The very first scene, when Bad Blake sits at the bar in the bowling alley, I was waiting for Sam Elliot to sit next to him and say, "Take her easy Dude."

why is ben harping on this "impossible romance" ? bad blake is charming, talented, and "somewhat famous," despite being an out-of-shape, aging alcoholic with his career going down the tubes. hello? "together" women fall for this type of man all the time, especially when they're actually not as together as they seem. why is there not a woman on this panel... or a man with a little more perspective?

He was godawful on "At the Movies." Granted, he looked relatively good next to scumbag, douchebag extraordinaire Ben Lyons. Anybody would look relatively good next to him. Still, if he was not from a famous family, Ben would not be on TCM, TYT, or ATM.
