@rootbeer4969 3 weeks from 48 years old, so I appreciate hearing from anyone who calls me son! Your understanding of music and the "order" of things is very nice. Good luck to you and I wish you could have been at Waterfest in Oshkosh, WI a few years ago to see a crowd of hillbilly cowfolk shout the crap out of this song for about 20 minutes without a band on the stage. Or, you could have seen them with me in Wausau or San Fran or Seattle...This was an amazing performance in ATL.

@jwurtzel9 No, son. I was not there. My comment about it being an honor to play First Violin pertained to the young gentleman who actually did play First Violin. He who plays FV is in essence a "secondary conductor." The entire orchestra is listening to him, listening for how he interprets the conductor's leading. The conductor sets the time and rhythm, and the strength or softness of the music. The FV plays it as he sees it, and the rest of the orchestra follows his lead.

I just saw him on Oct 16/09 and its shoulder length and as bushy as ever. lol. I agree with you though, I'd like to see him get a cut and thin it a bit.
