Mary Jo Kopechne - Ted Kennedy was punished; leave him alone

That's a shame. I find that the vast majority of people engaging in the subject just leave inane comments without any real knowledge of the incident. Let me help here.

The rescue diver said the body was in an air pocket and if Kennedy did report the crash immediately she could have been saved. He should have reported the accident IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!

1- Nowhere in any of the compiled evidence was there ever any mention of the strength of the current 2- Ted was charged with leaving the scene w injury....that was the motor vehicle offense...the later testimony was given at a wrongful death inquest, not a trial....so double jeaporedy was never an issue. He could have and should have been charged with vehicular manslaughter in addition to the ticket he received. If it happened to you or me it would have, but JFK and RFKs deaths saved him
