In the opening scene of this "Touched by an Angel" episode, "Heaven's Portal" (which aired on November 24, 2001), Tess gives the new angel, Gloria, her first driving lesson, and the angels witness their new assignments. Roma Downey, Della Reese, John Dye, and Valerie Bertinelli starred on the show, with Peter Scolari, Stephanie Zimbalist, Ross Malinger, Kelsey Mulrooney, Daveigh Chase, and Ange Billman as guest stars on this episode. The episode is not available on home video or DVD. I have taped it when it aired on TV, then retaped selected excerpts from the episode with my digital camera.

To reach out to the 21st century people because the existence of God is becoming more diluted in today's society with the increasingly horrible times (which were were predicted by Him anyway. read Revelation) turning people away but to many people, they just don't believe and think you're some kind of fanatic if you preach the real truth.so you have to use the 21st century to begin the journey: cater to people at their point of need before you start the real truth about God's love, grace & mercy

Why did the even add Gloria in the show? A question I ask sometimes. Something about a 21st century angel.

Maybe they had 20th century angels and 19th century angels and so on and so on.
