@Lukejoker3 I agree it's like natalie has a beautiful voice for lakme but not the greatest for queen of the night and diana damrau has a great voice for queen of the night and not so much for lakme but i think she did good overall for singing this aria :)

For this aria I like much better Natalie Dessay her voice is lighter than Diana.Diana has an amazing spetacular voice and she´s a true queen of the night :)

Lovely trills, I think she is dragging a bit because she's trying to keep her voice extra light.

@MrDajx I agree, fortunately Diana has shown she is very prudent when it comes to choosing roles, because she has not sung this since (to my knowledge) and continues to choose healthy roles that fit her voice (especially since she had the baby). She's very careful with her voice.

I don't think a dramatic soprano is a good voice for this role. Despite that this version is good, it's just not the best :p

great work... but the best verson of this aria was is and will of natalie dessay.... diana's voice is too heavy fot this role

Not Callas but very good!
