what is the main story in this newest version?... is Alma still here?

yeah ill have to check but the last time i read about it, its based after the end of F.E.A.R and alma is knocking about in the city.

the ending of FEAR was the highlight for me the first time i played it.

nah its just a frag map that u unlock when u complete single player.

The new games don't count the first 2 expansions like this one in the story. Currently in the story line, in the new FEAR 3 Alma's having a baby.

Well OK, I guess he could be a ghost, that doesn't really explain why the replicas come back online tho, and he does the same randomly appearing and turning into ash stuff that he did when he was 'alive.'

Fettel doesn't come back to life, he is a ghost like Alma.

Yeah... that sorta sucks, I've completed PM and EP dozens of times... and to find out they have nothing to do with the F.E.A.R storyline... bitch slapped :(

No, they're the same story. It's never explained why Fettel comes back to life, I think Alma did it bc he was her main foothold in the 'living' world. It's interesting bc since Perseus Mandate takes place at the same time as the other games, when the FEAR point man from the first game kills fettel, all the replicas shut down, but then they come back later. One thing that's cool about Perseus mandate is that your team actually stays with you for a while, unlike the other games....

Yeah, you play as a sergeant of another FEAR team sent to a different ATC facility while the FEAR team from the original game is still in action. The two games intersect in a few points too, and alma definitely pops up a bunch, as well as fettel.
