Lasik Safety - News Report on FDA Inquiry
http://www.DoughertyLaswerVision.com
Los Angeles LASIK surgeon Paul Dougherty, MD interviewed regarding the FDA's April 2008 hearings to examine the safety of LASIK vision correction surgery. The report also includes Dr. Dougherty's four tips for choosing a LASIK surgeon.
I had lasik 2 1/2 years ago. The doctor performing the surgery didn't verify the Rx --- and I received the WRONG prescription. This was through a highly recommended LASIK center & respected doctor. I've been suffering from distorted vision, emotional trauma, & physical challenges ever since.. I only have 430 microns of corneal tissue left -- not sufficient to re-do the procedure..The FDA should demand that doctors personally evaluate & verify programming prior to surgery. Recommendations?
