Today we cover a super useful, super cheap DIY Solution for a 'follow focus assist' for your DSLR camera! Tony Carretti (link below) came up with this idea for using a Trudeau brand jar opener as a focus assist solution and when I saw his video, I had to try it out and share it with you!

@TheDJSdog Magic Lantern is installed on the camera, this firmware mod gives the T2i an audio display (the dots) The line is just the light hitting the lcd weird and creating that. search magic lantern for more info.

this is amazing. there is still a reason to get a follow focus but I would definitely get this first because it is super cheap then decide if you want to spend $100 to $300 for a follow focus
