I agree with fighters and RPGs. When it's fighters, you can tell when two high level players go at it. With RPGs, it doesn't draw you in as much when you're just watching. Even with cinematics, they almost feel empty if you haven't played the game. As for shmups and puzzles, it's different for me. I actually like watching shmup replays as long as there's alot of skills shown. However, I can't stand watching a puzzle game in action. For me, making chains are more fun than watching them.

I once saved a replay from a really intense match from me and my cousin. I never really watch my own replays, but i save them anyway just for the hell of it. A few months later me and my cousin noticed them and we decided to watch them. We got insanely bored seeing how one match it took like a good 4 minutes just for one of us to get hit.
