It might look funny, but having operated forklifts for 25+ years, he's lucky he wasn't crushed or killed. Falling 4 feet in a machine that heavy is extremely dangerous. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't break his back. This really isn't funny.

They showed us this video in a safety training class at work. The instructor said that the operator got his head cut off by the overhead guard. This was a stand up lift truck, typically there are no restraint systems in those, the best thing to do is to try to leap clear of it if it tips to the side or hang on tight if it tips over backwards.

Thats a good way to get killed. most forklifts weigh around 9000 lbs. that ain't no roll cage, thats to keep shit from falling on you, like boxes form an unrapped pallet.
