you have been watching the rostropovich recordings yes? It seems you have the notes well but you need to do more than just play the notes, experiment with dynamics, phrasing, and the different feelings that the composer is trying to convey. Best of luck to you.

Should try and get what used to be called "Music Minus One" In this case this "minus one" would be the cello and you could accompany the orchestra. Makes for a better experience for you.
