  • Your recordings are generally of a much higher quality than the sound of most home recordings. Do you have your own recording studio?

  • @lsbrother

No, I don't have recording studio! ;) Most of my recordings were made with portable DAT either during live performances or rehearsals. None of them are professional... For me the best and the most affordable option is just a regular DAT. Though such recordings are not immune to imperfections and flaws... yet they can capture true intentions and unique moments.

  • Fantastic! Is there a place I can buy recordings of your performances?

  • @almitydave

    Nope! I don't have any.

  • absolutely brilliant playing!

  • There is radiance in your Debussy! You bring out unexpected details and you play with a lot of fantasy (in dynamics and pedaling). Bravo!

  • wonderful, inspired, often genial .. finally a pianist who has something artistic to say and knows how to say it!

  • Wonderful! Awesome playing.

  • I had the chance to study with a french pianist who did know Debussy personally, studied with Cortot , Nat and Marguerite Long and who made quite a good career. She would have appreciated this interpretation ....

  • @truecrypt Thanks for reply. Whatever you are doing recording wise you are definitely doing it a great deal better than most amateur piano recordings here on Youtube. Even those made at student competitions - where you would think that some care would be taken - often seem very poor sound quality; echoing rooms and tinny or booming sounding pianos often with a sort of rustling noise on top.

Well done indeed. And the playing is superb.

  • This truly is marvelous music making!

  • Amazing performance, you should be proud.
