Sharon Tandy - Fool on the hill 1968

Original by The Beatles 1967

Day after day, alone on a hill,
The man with the foolish grin is keeping perfectly still.
But nobody wants to know him,
They can see that he's just a fool.
And he never gives an answer

But the fool on the hill,
Sees the sun going down.
And the eyes in his head,
See the world spinning around.

Well on the way, head in a cloud,
The man of a thousand voices, talking perfectly loud.
But nobody ever hears him,
Or the sound he appears to make.
And he never seems to notice

But the fool on the hill,
Sees the sun going down.
And the eyes in his head,
See the world spinning around.

(Instrumental)

And nobody seems to like him,
They can tell what he wants to do.
He never shows his feelings,

But the fool on the hill,
Sees the sun going down.
And the eyes in his head,
See the world spinning around.

He never listened to them
he knows that there's a fool
They don't like him

The fool on the hill,
Sees the sun going down.
And the eyes in his head,
See the world spinning around.

  • @puakenikeni2011 Not funny and isn't the way it works. Indicative of the ignorance (lack of knowledge) most people have on the subject.

  • this is the real paul after his sex change in france

  • una mas comiendo de los beatles, muchos grupos "rocanroleros" de México solo vivian de sus covers, si esta tipa hubiera escrito esta canción hubiera sido un single en su carrera, pero para los beatles es una canción más de su fantástico catálogo de canciones

  • She looks like the fool on the stool... LoL!!! I rhymed!!!

  • @5000AV dude I have! Ive listend to most of her albums, though I must admit that daughter of the sun was a kick ass song! I think I just perfer her doing her own songs and not covering others. You think she's up there with julie driscoll and erma franklyn??? no way!! julie and erma are in a league of their own!! Have you heard behind the scenes takes in the recording studio??

  • @eektherigo ...you are only listening to one song by her, listen to her rendition of Lorraine Ellison,s classic, or "You G otta Believe It" and see she's up there with Julie Driscoll, ERma Franklynn etc.........you gotta believe it???
