An Idiot's virgin Burning Man experience (2011)

Virgin Burning Man Experience with the Playa Surfers... I did not plan to shoot or edit this video ahead of time, but a week afterward still found myself purging thoughts and feelings from my first burn. 10 days in Black Rock City.

It was AWESOME and CRAPPY and everything in-between... And it wasn't until I returned to Los Angeles, that I realized, it was my own mind which could have made more AMAZING MOMENTS and less CRAPPY ones.

I'm pretty sure this is NOT the video you thought I would put together... However, it's the video that came together. It's the video that I needed to put together. It's the video it is.

And it's some of the lessons I had to learn... After all, it only took me all 10 days plus to realize, my "burn" was my "burn."

That looks like a waste of time and a waste of brain cells of people being real frivolous. Why not do something more productive and constructive with your time. If you have to go on vacation, do something better and more enriching like visit Europe (no NOT Amsterdam's "red district") or Machu Pichu.

@TomKiesche Ok I read it but it doesn't sound like you went anywhere in Scandinavia. That's the best place to go in Europe.

Plus, I bet people are breaking a lot of laws in the Burning Man.

Dude - I feel quite similarly, though I've yet to go. I've known about burning man for many years and thought I wouldn't like it but never investigated at all. Just today I decided to do some research, and spent hours on the BM site reading about it, and looking at images and a couple of videos and I can't believe I didn't do this sooner. All I kept thinking was "I need to go this year" - and this year there's almost no way I can get a ticket at this point. :-( Thanks for your effort and opinion

@TomKiesche hey you can do what you want, it's a free country, but I think you should be aware of how publicity for this event -> tourists, weekenders, fratboys, and jackasses. I cringe every time I see video, news article, public photo set, etc. And yes, I scan bman vieos. I scan them to report them when i find some jackass who is videoing critical tits and putting it online. Some jackass whose coming to bman for all the wrong reasons because he saw some video on youtube ;)
