  • @MrHichamrami also, sorry, i accidentally deleted your second post. this was not intentional. it was just a mistake. you had asked why they lift the trailers in the air instead of like a regular dump truck.

  • @MrHichamrami these are 53' foot trailers that weigh about 85,000 pounds loaded(without the tractor). having on-board hydraulics to lift that kind of weight would cut down considerably the amount of weight they can haul, not to mention the cost of those hydraulics. better to have one set of hydraulics at the dump sites than each thousands of trucks carrying them around wherever they go. there are 'chip' trucks that do unload their own loads. they go to smaller places without a dump ramp.

  • 0_o why need to do that ???

  • @MrHichamrami they take the wood chips from lumber mills and this mill turns them into paper products.

  • man, that shit was hangin on!

  • it sure was. thanks for commenting!

  • I let my buddy take a ride on one of those dumpers at HARMAC on VANCOUVER IS !! Scared the living shit out of him!!

  • @Zeamus634 the added weight of for a tipping trailer is less they can haul. DC Chambers made owner ops take off one of the fuel tanks so they would get the extra weight on.

  • Why don't you use tipping trailers?

  • @m16figure8 I'll bet that some sort of big-assed vibrator clamped onto the dump bed would help to shake that stuff loose. Wonder if they use something like that on any of these lifts?
