this was an awesome package, i loved the box and it was exciting to unbox when i first got it in 2007, its outdone nowadays but so reliable as i still use it

Does anyone know if this is dangerous for your DS? How is the video resolution? And if I insert an actual cartridge (without the R4), will it effect it at all?

it does not affect your DS at all. you can eject the cartridge and use real games anytime. Video is decent, but dont expect it to be like a computer...
