@EmeryCountyTravel Exploring the many wonders of the San Rafael is what makes my heart sing! I whole-heartedly feel so blessed to have it as my 'back yard' and am out in it whenever and wherever I possibly can be (but darn it- not enough!). And yes, it is very familiar (my dog and I celebrated my 51st birthday out there alone sleeping 'round the campfire). Thank you for the video; it was interesting and also solved some head scratching questions.

Was the Lockheed Martin Mars film shot on Sand Bench Loop? A few years ago some friends and I were going out to watch the Harvest Moon rise about dark marveling as always to be 'out where you never see anyone' and came around the corner to towering lights, trucks, police cars, ambulance and lots of people. We were stunned! I still love it better quiet and unpopulated!

@ravensdancing13 Glad you could explore the wonders of the San Rafael Swell. It sounds like you saw one of those wonders. Many film companies film in the San Rafael Swel, and they like to keep it secret when they are filming. You never know who or what is out on the Swell. I am not sure on the location of the Mars film. If the background scenes look familiar then it could have been that area.
