i guess the moral of the story is that anyone living in the floodway or in a natural flood plain ought to be living in a boat.... i read that the USACEng sends annual letters to all residents in this area mentioning the floodway use and potential flooding of the lands where the residents have been living. !

May 14, 2011- this is only the second time the Morganza has been opened since it was built in 1954 (the first was in 1973).

Floods in the 1800's? I though this flooding was supposed to be the result of GLOBAL WARMING! Does this mean there is a weather pattern that once again proves GW/CC is bull shit?
