Effective Water Curtain use.

Old fire training use to tell us that to prevent a fire from spreading from house to house, we should put up a water curtain - basically, just spraying water into the air so it could absorb radiant heat.

However, water doesn't actually work like this, and everyone has taken them out of service.

So what do you do with a bunch of old, useless equipment? This was our solution...
