Hello Mr Duncan, I like your pure English sound (impossible to emulate). But let's get to the point... may I ask for an idiom, please? I sometimes see people striking the palms of their right hands just to mean "alright dude". Unfortunately they say something else... could you please reveal? TIA

@kontact666 What they are probably saying is 'High Five'. It is used as a greeting or as a way of bonding between friends. Normally used informally. The influence comes from The USA. It is not a new thing by any means.
