In this lesson we take a stroll in the spring sunshine.
WARNING- This lesson contains an image of a dead animal.

The poem is by William Wordsworth.

I wandered lonely as a cloud
that floats on high o'er vales and hills.

In this sentence o'er is a contraction of 'over'.

  • I think the first sentence of this poem should be 'I wandered lonely as a cloud'.

  • @aluniversity yes it should...wandered. wander around. You are right., a small mistake..I will stop making these videos. I'm a really terrible English teacher! You can do it from now on! Have fun!

  • Hello Mr Duncan, I like your pure English sound (impossible to emulate). But let's get to the point... may I ask for an idiom, please? I sometimes see people striking the palms of their right hands just to mean "alright dude". Unfortunately they say something else... could you please reveal? TIA

  • @kontact666 What they are probably saying is 'High Five'. It is used as a greeting or as a way of bonding between friends. Normally used informally. The influence comes from The USA. It is not a new thing by any means.
