  • Religion isn't about being a good person. It's about telling other people that they are going to hell.

  • How Can a 4yr old accept Christ? A young child has no idea who God is. He could be Santa as far as a 4yr old is concerned.Quoting scripture is just a child's way of repeating fairy tails to make mommy happy. No way did she accept God at 4 and quote scripture. sorry lady..And listening to him preach!WOW How can anyone take him seriously. He sounds so fake. Religion can bring in some strange people............

  • i have absolutely no respect for religious people, pffft

  • @HammerOfTheSun Wrong. That's what misguided, botched religion is. However, I understand why it might seem that way to many. I assure you there are religious people out there (regardless of their respective religions) who only wish to be good people.

  • @HammerOfTheSun It's warning for those who choose the wrong religion because while they still have hearts to feel and ears to listen they can save them selves , being good to someone who has wrong beliefs without warning him , as if you are taking him to hell with a smile.

  • @lavinder11 first off, i didn't tell anyone what they got out of their religion, because how would i know? values, conscience, empathy, right and wrong are not religion based. you don't need religion to have those virtues. that is what i was saying. don't put words in my mouth. ever hear of the collective 'you'??

  • @jasrogg and way too many of them!

  • @lavinder11 Oh do you not care what I think! What a shame *sarcasm*.

Hey, lavinder11. You made a comment directed to me first, which initiated this conversation, it wasn't the other way around.

Typical behavior of a hypocrit. Make an insulting and NONSENSE statement about atheists TO ME and then pretend you didn't.

  • @h0pezbeth

Who is "us"? I couldn't care less what you think, honestly. I gave you my opinion and that's that.

  • @lavinder11 (con't) made to feel like they don't exist...and just because of THIS, you feel they force something down your throat? Just goes to show that you don't think atheists have the right to identify as such. Like Fox "news" commentators, you think that atheists should "just shut up".

Listen: atheists simply don't have any belief that a god exists, "God", Allah, or otherwise.

All you baby religious people who can't believe that EVERYTHING is not about YOU: accept that!

  • @lavinder11 Are you really this THICK or are you just trying to fool us all? Atheists face more prejudice than pretty much any group of people in the USA. The first President Bush even stated that they should not even be considered citizens! Atheists get nasty consdescension from Christians all the time.

And REALLY? Atheists shove their hate for the beliefs of others down everyone else's throat? What planet are you on? Atheists don't LET themselves be controled and (con't)

  • @h0pezbeth

What atheists do (I'm non-religious but definitely not an atheist) is try to shove their hate for another person's belief down everyone else's throat. I don't see many religious folks or otherwise calling for the abolition of atheists these days.

  • @laceydays1

I disagree with you. You aren't like the next person, so you don't get what they get out of religion. Using that, you aren't in the position to tell someone else what they get from their faith.

Also, most sane people are aghast at young children "giving themselves" to God. People tend to be moderate, so any variation from that "norm" usually brings unease.

Everyone is on their own journey (if you will) in this place.

  • anything that is tax free in america is probably benifitting the controllers of our country.

  • some of the worst people i have ever met are Christians.

  • Why are people so proud when their kids get an imaginary friend named Jesus. They should take them to a fucking shrink

  • No God No Devil just bad people.

  • @dirtybunny987 Huh.....that's a good question....Why AM I so upset? Sorry to bother you

  • @Xzamilloh Ok?

Why are u so upset? im confused

  • @dirtybunny987 Who fucking cares what the hell you are.....you didn't sound "Atheist" two weeks ago talking shit to HammerOfTheSun......you sounded incredibly stupid

  • @Xzamilloh

Either you replied to the wrong person or you are incredibly stupid.

    I'm atheist.

  • @TheChannyj28 no, religion focuses on guilt and control, you don't get values from religion. just propaganda and fear. we get our sense of right and wrong regardless of religion, and most times, in spite of it.

  • @laceydays1 Religion IS, basically, asking us to focus on being kind, giving, honest, and fair. There's nothing crazy about it. Now, there are crazy people who are religious and those are the ones who make the news... who everyone sees'. It's ppl like me, that aren't a serious psychopath, that make up the majority of Christians'. I don't try to change anybody. I believe in God and I don't try to push Him onto others'. My BEST friend is an atheist, and u think I give a shit? Nope.

  • @dirtybunny987 So in one fell swoop, you cuss at someone you don't know, call them clueless, and proceed to sweep their entire statement down with some generic interpretation of religion and Atheism, but because you're some champion for religion, you assume you're the enlightened one in the bunch? It would behoove you to stop being so melodramatice and getting offended over someone else's opinion and live your own damn life...you sound like the clueless one...get offended now.

  • It's the lords fault God made them do it Praise the Lord

  • Nothing crazier than religious crazy.

  • It's people like this that make me worry about religious people...

These people believe anything if hidden behind the veil of god. Why do these people not THINK?! Blindly following people because they say god has spoken to them is NOT the way to "salvation", be a good person and THINK.
