Joe finally delves into the mythical, mystical world of Fire Pro in Episode #19, as he looks at Super Fire Pro Wrestling Premium X for the Super Famicom (or the Super Nintendo for most of us). The lax copyright laws that allowed America's finest wrestlers to grace this game, the precise timing needed to grapple, Joe's constant astonishment at how complex this game is and more are topics covered in this six and a half minute look at easily the most advanced game covered so far in the series! Also, has the need to trend trickled down all the way to the Funtime Arcade?

  • @dweem2009able Fire Pro Wrestling Returns was the last game.

  • caw dosnt really show you what the moves are like so you end up just giving up. Plus its in japanese. Which makes you frustrated therefore giving up on CAW.

  • i dont understand if fire pro has such a big fan base why hasnt there been more english translations of the series. If there were more translations it would be huge.. my dream would b a new fire pro on the wii u :D

  • I tried playing this game on my SNES emulator, but never could get the hang of the controls, cool game tho

  • Also wish there were more 2D games.

  • I cannot thank you enough for this review. I have posted this video on 6 sites that I am a part of, and am spreading the word of the game. Now I got to pull it out and play it with my stepson and show him how awesome the game is!!!

  • @willos1991 Sadly it doesn't. They were making a Fire Pro Wrestling for xbox 360, but it was a baaaaad version of the series. I wouldn't even call it Fire Pro. It used nothing but the Avatars from 360 and had moves such as the Tickle Tackle. I don't know about you, but I don't want that near me.

  • I didn't get into the Fire Pro series until Fire Pro Six Men scramble in late 1997. We used to have a "Mom and Pop" game store on 38th street called Game World and they had a crazy amount of imports. I went in there and saw 6MS, Fire Pro Another Story: Blazing Tornado, and All Japan Pro Wrestling featuring Virtua, all for Sega Saturn.

I instantly got into a convo about these 3 games with the Japanese guy that ran the store, and shortly after my obsession with the FPW, and import world started.

  • This game single-handedly ruined my grades my sophomore year of college.

One curious thing you didn't mention the game actually features characters from Blazing Tornado, an Arcade wrestling game Human made around the time. It looks sort of like Saturday Night Slammasters. You might be interested in checking it out.
