Good Job !

This is really fantastic. You really can't go wrong with ANY of these versions.
-
ITS MARLEY'S GHOST HOLY S--T! EVERYONE INTO THE CAR!!
-
Too much Patrick Stewart! That version is so pretentious! The all-time BEST "I made it link by link and yard by yard" will forever belong to Alec Guinness!
-
The bar may be raised in due time when it comes to performaing Jacob Marley, but right now that bar belongs to Frank Finlay!!
-
2:15 I swear, in that version Marley sounds like a Dalek. I almost expect him to yell, "Exterminate!! Exterminate!!" LOL
-
6:01 american accent on scrooge?....
-
well done very clever it's brilliant man
-
@latitudetwenty what do you mean by that?
-
@wunderboy64 I commend you on keeping the Christmas spirit with you the year round ;) This is available on Amazon new from $7.50 and used fron $2.59 (tried to inset a link but I don't think it's letting me.) Just get yourself a copy and you can enjoy the whole thing instead of 10 minute youtube pieces.
And really my intent was to recreate the book as best as I could which meant putting together pieces from the different versions.

@latitudetwenty hey latitudetwenty! can u please reply? could you upload the whole movie of A Christmas Carol 1984? I want to see that so bad!
-
@latitudetwenty The trailer for the Jim Carrey version is somewhat misleading. It doesn't look like it's going to be as true to the book as it actually is. Sure there is some artistic license taken here and there, but visually, is captures the imagery of Dickens' book more accurately. And, yes, if you have ANY heart at all, you will get a little emotional at parts.
-
@bopeesdad Thanks, glad you liked it. I just numbered all 11 parts so it is easier to find them (I hope.) I hated the trailer for the Jim Carey version so much that I didn't go see it (well I was pretty busy doing this too) but I will check it out this year.

Very well done! The closest to retelling the actual story I've seen.
I think the latest Disney 3-D version with Jim Carrey does a GREAT job at visually recreating much of the imagery of the original book. While it's not the best version, I think it was well done.
-
i love the 1935 version
-
With all these great ACC version why was the new 3-D version so bad?
-
I think the one with George C. Scott is easily the best
aww, after George C. Scott's Scrooge says "there's more gravy than of grave about you," I half expected the clip of Statler and Waldorf to go, "That's a terrible pun! Leave comedy to the bears, Ebenezer!"
Yeah, it's not from the actual Dickens novel, but still...funny. Why aren't Statler and Waldorf in this clip? We got to see Muppet clips in part 1!!

@aeg1212 If you have a problem with the pun you would have to take it up with Mr. Dickens himself:
'"Why do you doubt your senses?"
"Because," said Scrooge, "a little thing affects them. A slight disorder of the stomach makes them cheats. You may be an undigested bit of beef, a blot of mustard, a crumb of cheese, a fragment of an underdone potato. There's more of gravy than of grave about you, whatever you are!"

well done! this is exactly what i've always wanted to do! where did you get a WS version of the George C. Scott one? I assume you didn't crop and zoom it as the Stewart and Sim versions are 4x3.

@FranBro Thanks and I commend you on keeping your Christmas spirit the year round ;) I have the regular version of the GCS version and I really don't know how it came out as wide screen. I may have cropped it or maybe the software did something to it. I am no video editor and that's why putting this together was so hard. I swear I spent 5 times longer on technical issues than I did in deciding what parts to put where.

Scrooged! 1988, the great modern take. Check out part 1 and 2 for more clips from it.
